Chlorine & pH Control: The Science of Crystal Clear Water

Maintaining a pool is not just about skimming leaves; it's pure chemistry. The balance between pH and chlorine is the barrier separating a healthy pool from a breeding ground for bacteria and algae. At Servinmosol, we don't just measure: we analyze and correct to ensure the sanitary safety of your family or community.

pH: The Master Key

pH indicates the acidity or alkalinity of the water. It is the most critical parameter because if the pH is off, chlorine simply stops working.

Our goal: To keep your pool in the ideal range of **7.2 - 7.4** through professional regulators and alkalinity control.

Free Chlorine vs. Combined Chlorine

Many people think that a strong "chlorine smell" means the pool is clean. It's actually the opposite!

The Chloramine Problem: When chlorine attacks dirt, it transforms into "Combined Chlorine" (Chloramines). This residue no longer disinfects; it irritates eyes and causes that unpleasant smell.

At Servinmosol, we perform advanced measurements to distinguish between:

Why hire professional monitoring?

Home drip kits or test strips can give you a rough idea, but they often fail to measure other crucial factors like Cyanuric Acid (stabilizer).

If there is too much stabilizer in the water (due to excessive use of multi-action tablets), the chlorine gets "locked," and the water turns green even if tests show chlorine is present. We diagnose this "lock" and propose the right solution (partial draining or shock treatment).

👨‍🔬 Official Certification & Safety

We hold the Collective Use Pool Caregiver License, approved by the Health Authorities (Murcia & Valencia). This authorizes us to maintain mandatory logbooks for community pools and ensures we use safe, certified chemical products.
