Cracked tiles, loose stones, or worst of all, paving that becomes slippery when wet, are a constant source of accidents in communities. Mandatory Safety: Class 3 Non-Slip
Many older pools have outdoor tiles that were once rough but have worn smooth over time, turning the pool area into a skating rink.
According to Spanish Building Regulations (CTE), wet public areas (community pools) must have a slip resistance rating of Class 3 (Rd > 45). We exclusively install materials that meet this standard, protecting the community from potential liability lawsuits due to slips and falls.
Materials: Aesthetics & Functionality
We work with two main finishing lines, both resistant to chlorine and weathering:
🔹 Technical Porcelain Paving
The modern choice. Large format tiles (60x60, 60x120) imitating wood, stone, or cement, but with zero absorption (stain-proof against sun creams or rust) and maximum durability.
🔹 Reconstituted Stone (Artificial Stone)
The classic "Mediterranean" choice. Porous white or sandy materials that have a huge thermal advantage: they don't burn your feet, even in August. Ideal for areas where children play.
Pool Coping (Edging)
The edge is the key piece. We replace old coping stones with ergonomic pieces:
- Bullnose or Rounded Edge: Prevents scrapes when entering or exiting the water.
- Aesthetic Continuity: We can use the same material for the deck and the edge, creating a seamless "infinity" look that is visually very clean.
If you have garages or storage rooms underneath the pool terrace, now is the time. When lifting the old floor, we apply elastic waterproofing membranes under the new paving to guarantee zero leaks in the future.
