Change bathtub to shower tray: Safety and design in 24 hours

The end of traditional bathtubs

Over the years, bathtubs have become an impractical and often dangerous element. In the Spanish Levante area, where many homes are second residences or retirement places, accessibility in the bathroom is an absolute priority. Replacing the bathtub with a walk-in shower tray is not just a matter of aesthetics, it is a direct investment in safety and quality of life.

1. Maximum safety and accessibility

The main reason to carry out this renovation is to avoid slips and falls. Modern shower trays are made of high-quality anti-slip resins (grade 3), which guarantees a firm surface even with water and soap. Furthermore, by removing the curb, you facilitate access for older people or those with reduced mobility.

2. Visual spaciousness and water savings

A bathtub occupies a huge visual volume, making small bathrooms look tiny. By installing a continuous shower tray and a transparent glass screen, light flows through the room and the bathroom seems to gain square meters instantly. Added to this is the ecological saving: a quick shower consumes up to 70% less water than a full bath.

3. A clean renovation without waiting

Many clients fear getting into construction work due to dust and inconvenience. However, changing a bathtub for a shower is a standardized process that, in the hands of professional bricklayers and plumbers, is resolved in just 24 or 48 hours. The bathtub is removed, the water connection is adapted, the area is waterproofed and covered with matching tiles or decorative panels.
